Hi

It is an epiphytic plant, with pseudobulbos oblong, conical.
Without leaves during the flowering season .
The inflorescence emerges from almost half the pseudobulbo.
Flowers in February and is distributed from Mexico to Nicaragua and part of South América at an altitude of 450-720 meters. It is not common.... is rare ...









The color begins to change with the arrival of that green visitor and pollinator.

Muchas gracias. Hope that the bee is done their work well and the plant produces seeds.

Last year we gave several capsules. When they were dried, I placed the seeds in the forest in areas of Mycorrhiza.

I do also with other orchid seeds.

Of so many bees, bumblebees, hummingbirds and butterflies that come to my garden , appears that only these green friends love these flowers. As I have observed, are the only pollinators.

Thousands of seeds... germinate only a few, but nothing is worse for the forest.
I always try to maintain the ecological balance, species are not competing and can survive there.
