Did you know that all Coryanthes are pollinated by male bees,who are attracted by the fragrance. They go under the hood, slip and fall into the bucket of mucilaginous liquid. It needs to crawl out and upon crawling out comes into contact with the stigma where it gets the pollina attached to it's back. Even more amazing is the bee has to fall in again and climb again out again, to pollinate the flower
