Hi guys,
I got 3 new orchids from the mail today. Thank you to Marissa (orchid_lady) for a very well packaged shipment. The orchids arrived safe, sound, and super healthy!
Here are the orchids:
Okay, the left-most one is an ansellia africana, followed by a trichoglottis brachiatta and then a clanton wagey.
Okay, I want to give these guys a good start, so this is what I plan to do:
Trichoglottis:
Leave it as is on the pvc pipe wrapped in fiber netting, put the whole thing inside a slatted basket and leave bare root. Hang on my south-east facing front porch without screen and water/mist daily.
Ansellia:
Pot in orchid clay pot using phalaenopsis orchid mix (bark, charcoal, perlite, and peat moss), put in south-east facing front porch without screen and water weekly.
Clanton:
Pot in orchid clay pot using special orchid mix (bark, charcoal and perlite), put in shadier side of south-east facing front porch and water weekly.
Is this good???
My next question would be when to fertilize...
