Phal. Melody

At first glance, my new phal looks like a run of the mill white phal with pink blush. Then I lit it up from behind in the front picture window and the details popped out. I should make a tag and call it 'spot'! lol I've spent the last ten minutes going through the pics and trying to decide which ones to post! I'll have to start with my favorite...









It never ceases to amaze me how one flower can have tons of spots or a certain shape to the petals, while another, and on the same plant and same spike, can have a totally different shape and look. This plant is like that. Some of the flowers look Amabilis and others look more like something else. The 2nd and 3rd flowers show how different they look on this plant.

But the name certainly suits it. It's like a beautiful musical melody!!

Thanks for the nice comments about the pic's...to be honest though, the digital camera has really improved my picture-taking-skills. It has all these settings and usually one captures a great pic for me. (and to think I opted for an inexpensive one, I cannot imagine what kind of pic's i'd get if i'd splurged a little!) I'm glad you all enjoyed the pink blush...like I said, in the store it didnt' look that impressive. I was looking for something different...and as it's raining buckets today I was lucky to have a sunny day to get this one at it's best, yesterday.
