BD, good job with the WH. Hubby is a plumber so I know some things about it (you know how it is- he talks about plumbing, I talk about orchids...LOL) And about your ghost- I hope it's not a real ghost yet...You better go check on it! May be not blooms, but how about at least new roots?!

    Margo,
I used to have two of these--and I tried the cut out the bottom of the bottle trick. There's a picture of it somewhere on here--search for redneck everglades. Anyway--that ghost was a serious rotting fatality. It just got too wet. But this guy, who I purchased at the same time is doing really well--and he is just hanging there. It is hard to tell from the picture, but it really is a very shady spot--just the bottom corner of the greenhouse. The shelf it is hanging on blocks nearly all the light and nearly all of the air movement from the fans and humidifiers. So far so good anyway.

I hope this isn't overkill--but for me, a picture is worth a thousand words.
