Beautiful!, It looks like a stinkerdoes it have an odour at all? I love the colour and markings.
form, it stinks. I mean, these guys, no matter how beautiful they are, can be very disgusting olfactorily.
I compare them to rotten seashells or other seafood left out in the sun for a week.
I was in the farm and hadn't known that B. papulosum stank. The first time I complained, my caretaker told me it might be droppings of monitor lizards, as he had seen several in the area. The second time, I was taking photos of them and came very close to the blooms. That was when I recoiled in disgust.
thank you I think I will avoid this species then my husband would kill me if I bought an orchid that smelled of rotten seafood ewwwww LOL he would also not thank me for the ones that smell of dog droppings

hi nelson,
hmmm, interesting the yellow form. i still like the red, warty and dangerous looking one.
lucky your farm is far away from home. what if my stinkers are starting to bloom?![]()
They both look very nice, but I think I am just going to enjoy their beauty on the pictures you posted...
They both are really cool. I guess here is one time that I don't wish for the ability to 'sniff' the blooms through the computer. lol!
Cheers,

are you sure it is not a different species but related? I would have expected a longer spike. Does the labellum have the papillae??
Could be.
But it came with the batch of papulosums, and I consulted Jim Cootes. I guess I took the easy way out, lol.
