I think you should try something in bloom first, before you get to the propagation part... It is fun!!! However, they need good care and lots of attention! You will love taking care of your orchids, but starting from seeds... I don't think that is a good idea. I mean you can still have a few mature plants to enjoy until you get some babies to the blooming stage (it will take a few years).
