One of the fancier reed stem orchids. The plant is nearly identical to an epidendrum radicans.
The plant also inherits the hardiness and resilience of the epidendrum parent.
The stems produce less flowers compared to an epi. radicans but the flowers are almost twice as large.
The flowers are also oriented with the labellum down, compared to an epi. radicans that always has the labellum on top.
