Nice photos! I love that kitty tongue shot.
That is one wicked looking spider!
I am usually pretty good about not freaking out around bugs...but once there was one of those brown spiders in my house about twice that size. It could have easily covered the palm of my hand...I saw that sucker and ran! Got the broom and eventually caught it and put it outside! Those guys move superfast...too fast for my comfort! That is one wicked looking spider!
Shann~
Great shots, I love the titmouse and of course the kitty shots.

Shann, here is one of my boys. I think it turned OK for a first time use?!
Yes! So cute...and those blue eyes!
I will tell you the best light is natural sunlight...I try to avoid using the flash if possible. Early morning and evening is the softest and the most flattering in many cases, esp. when taking pics of pple. If your using your camera in P mode...try your other modes (S, A, and M) if you want to have more control over your settings.
Tomorrow take your cat on the porch if there is good sunlight and try taking pics to see how they come out.
Shann~
LOL! You're spoiled, Shann! You think THAT'S heavy? You should carry around my old SLR Canon with the telephoto lens
Like the titmouse and hawk photos! That first orb weaver (spider) has some fantastic color! You should get some more close upsThe spiny one is also an orb weaver (orb refering to any of the spiders that make that wheel shaped web). If you like I can give you a link that may help you ID it. The "big" spider is some type of wolf spider. Completely harmless unless you happen to be a bug.
Cute kitty, too.
I loved the bird pictures, especially the titmouse looking cute and fluffy. As for the spider, I'm glad not to have seen it in person!
Shann, those are wonderful shots! Thanks so much for sharing them with us!
Cheers,
