philippine orchid species

i just recently bought these orchids but apparently i dont have any idea what orchid family they belong please help so i will know where to put them..

Well...at first glance I would suggest you have some Coelogyne species/hybrids there. Hard to tell from photos, but growth habit seems to be similar to some of my species of Coelogyne.

Especially without blooms.

For a beginner, I recommend you purchase a copy of Jim Cootes' book, The Orchids of the Philippines published in 2001. I think you can still find them in bookstores.

I think the plant in the first photo at the center is a Coelogyne marmorata?
And the below the 2nd photo are your Eria ornata...

These species are very hard to bloom in lowlands, they prefer in high altitude with constant humid and coolness...

I have these plants but they already gone because I planted them in lowlands or in the sea level...
Maybe I can acquire these again when I will put up a greenhouse to our farm in Bukidnon...

hi, sure you have some coelogyne's, eria and bulbophyllum as well.

ditto to the above, you have to wait for the bloom.

btw, the jim cootes book from 2001 is sold out, according to jim himself, but never give up!
his new one should come out soon, hopefully!
