Hi, hoanglong ! Nice to meet you here.
Nice picture. and nice colour, thanks.
A beauty!
I love this species and Den. delacourii. Other than the plant size, I don't think there is a whole lot of difference between the two. What is your oppinion?
There were many people mention this problem, I think it has much in common, but there are differences separate.
Den delacourii longer and flowers rise beside leafs.
Den venustum short and flower rises at the head of candle
Truong, I could be wrong, but according to my Dendrobium books, Den. venustum is a bigger plant and it has longer canes. My Den. venustum(assuming it is correctly labeled) sends out spikes from the upper nodes of the cane and also at the apex. Den. venustum also has bigger flowers.
My Den venustum is trunk cone in old canes, long about 5-7cm, white flower, flower size is 0,5x1cm or smaller, and send out spike from the apex.
Hoanglong! please post your plant and let put something to compare.
Truong, yours sounds like Den. delacourii. Would you please take a photo of your plant? My Den. venustum is 7 inch tall and I expect it will grow taller. It is in spikes now. I will take a photo when it is in bloom.
Here is my Dens, I took by mobile so it's not clear.
