    It does have nice color. Was there a problem with water that caused the bloom to be a bit deformed? How large is that slipper bloom? With kovachii, I know it must be fairly large. I remember when I met you in NYC, Ron, the guy who made the cross also had in his display Phrag Haile Decker (I may of misspelled her name) and the bloom was HUGE.

    the petal span is about 5". I think temperature may have come into play with this bloom, we had a warm spell
    Yes, it is spelled Haley Decker

    The friend who made the cross was Glen Decker...Suzanne is his wife and Haley his daughter. It was Glen and I that traveled to Peru with and hopefully to Ecuador with in 2010.

    Glen gave a talk about kovachii last week at my local OS meeting last week. He also participated in our sale over last weekend. The talk was quite interesting and entertaining. He has nice plants too .
