Has anyone here used those plant sitter devices with the ceramic cones, the ones you connect to a container of water to care for your plants while you're away? It's supposed to sense the level of moisture in soil and siphon water as needed. I was planning to use some during an upcoming vacation, but I hooked them up to two of my plants and within hours I had water everywhere!
I've searched online to see if there's something I'm doing wrong, but couldn't find anything helpful. All the advice was for people who said the device didn't water their plants at all. Any ideas?
Yes, these were plants in soil, not orchids in bark.
