Help with plant sitter device

hmmm...Angie, what types of plants and how long will you be away?

Is this the type you attach a hose to a reservoir or do they attach to a bottle of water over the cone?

We'll be gone 3 1/2 weeks. It is the type where you attach a hose to a reservoir.

I was hoping to use it for hibiscus, spider plant, one spathoglottis, and a jewel orchid.

I found some pictures online and noticed that the reservoir was lower than the cone. We had it higher; I don't know if that makes a difference. I may try it again that way, but this time I'll test it in the bath tub first. It's kind of funny the info says the device 'will not overwater'. Oh well.
