Michael, That is a Calanthe vestita and grows in many limestone areas of South-east Asia. I have another calanthe, Calanthe rubens, which is light pink in colour. Most calanthes have a delicate beauty and when there is a a slight breeze the flowers seem to dance in the breeze. The pseudobulbs are very brittle and break off quite easily; however, no worry as new plantlets will sprout from these broken-off pseudobulbs.
Your plant looks very healthy and putting out so many spkes.
