I'd give it a second blooming. some complex paph's first blooms look really bad, but subsequent blooms look normal. I had an ugly one this year too...
LOL

Remember Paph Winston Churchill? This is the one that should have been named Winston!
That's a great photograph - you have managed to capture the real character of the paph.
I am sure if Karsh were alive he would have wished he had taken the photo.
It looks like the Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors.
lol.. u folks are so funny...
gotta agree with Fren... first bloom seedling and with that shape on the outer edges... I'd definitely be keeping it for a 2nd blooming for when it is stronger.
The bloom definately is unique! Next bloom will be better!!
It is cute in an odd sort of wayGin
Thanks, Dail. I have been mostly offline while working for the summer and have probably missed quite a lot. Now that my seasonal job is over for this year, I'm probably in need of doing a lot of catching up. Anyhow, thanks for getting me up to speed! Yes, I like some weird paphs--the more warts & hairs on the blooms, the better!
Cheers,
Rob
