should (could) a phal crown facing down be fixed?

Hi all;
bought a new phal. today.

The crown leaf of this plant is twisted all down.
It seems to be in a good condition, not limp or soft. The overall plant is also in a good condition.

Looking at the plant i feel that this downward facing crown leaf is somehow "wrong" and any new leaves coming from this crown would not benefit from this.
Is there anything i should or could do to correct this.
I was thinking of fixing it somehow in a position more like this:

I have had phals do this, and usually if I feel it will not let a new leaf come through, I tie it up until it will stand up on it's own. I don't think it actually will hurt the leaf, but standing it up can't hurt. In nature, phals hang crown down, and most of mine end up laying over the edge of the pot.
