I got this last week in spike, a very long spike. a lot of the buds have dropped
during transport and yesterday one of the surviving buds have opened. I'd
appreciate it if someone could ID it. Thanks

What a beauty! Sorry don't know the name...just had to oooo and ah over it. lol
Staurochilus luzonensis (synonym Trichoglottis luzonensis), endemic to the Luzon island, Philippines.
You got a good specimen.
It is now the flowering season for Staurochilus luzonensis.

thanks BD, the extremely long spike caught my attention and the very dark colored buds
hinted to me that its going to be interesting.... guess im right....
