Well I don't know whether to be celebrating or worrying LOL I read that in winter orchids don't grow new roots and things they go dormant and I have several that are growing new roots, new leaves and new canes despite my lack of pampering, but the exceptionally good news is that I have 2 dendrobiums with little nubbins and one of them is also growing a new cane at the same time, I am hoping for flowers but if they turn they're keikis well I am not going to complain,, last year I was disappointed that I didn't get any of the dendros to flower for me but I only started my collection in January, they really have been neglected somewhat over the last two to 3 months with life and health problems interfering with my ability to do as much with them, I knew not to water the dendros in winter and it looks like it might be paying off, I have a cymb NoID in flower at my father in laws that I am hoping to get up and take a photo of now its in full bloom but knowing my luck the poor thing will be over before I get there, with the snow and Ice I have not really been out very much.
