A brazilian rupicolous (rock growing) laelias, which are called cattleyas now ... I think.
The red of the flowers is very intense, I didn't doctor the photo.
There was another spike that "burned" as I am still experimenting with LED lighting.

I have a nice rock out back just waiting for a nice orchid...so what are the culture requirements for these?? Do they like it abit on the warm side? I love the red! This would be nice to add to the collection out back. Thanks for sharing!
Very Pretty! Love the color. Please share the growing requirements.
Fantastic! But what is it "angry" about? How big does this one get (most of the rups I know of stay quite diminutive)
This is actually the biggest of the rupicolous family, leaves + pbulbs are 20" but flowers are small, approx. 2"
It needs good light (Catt light), good humidity, to dry quickly and they appreciate a temperature drop at night, they come from mountainous areas in Brazil.
Ideally warm sunny days and cool humid nights ...
Some people actually suggest to water them at night.
Laurent, that is some red! Very nice!!
Cheers,

What a fantastic red. Wow.
Intense color! I will have to take your word you didn't doctor the photo, but it's hard to believe.
Cheers,
