Thanks for the nice comments. Fren, unfortunately this isn't a first time blooming for it, or at least there is an older growth (not visible in any of the photos) with the stump of a flower spike on it. So I fear it's not likely to be any better next time around. Not sure if the plant was a division of a really large plant or if it was just an individual plant that was well grown to beyond first bloom stage when it was for sale. I sort of incline toward the former view, as there were several others for sale, all with very similar leaves. Mind you, perhaps most of the seedlings just inherited the same leaf color & pattern. I did see a photo from someone who bloomed one and the flower on it wasn't great--quite badly deformed, and I think it was much paler (although that could have been an artifact of the photo). At any rate, while it'll probably never be award worthy, I still like the flower!
