Eria rhynchostyloides

Anyways, just want to ask... eria's are supposed to have black woody roots right?
coz mine is, but they're not dying so i assume thats the case. Oh and how ofter do you
water yours and what media are you using?

Some of them do have purple/ dark brown roots but not all of them. Some of them have roots covered with white hairs and some of them just have roots...

I grow mine in CHC mix or Moss for bigger ones; on cork/stick mount for the little ones. I water the ones in pot once a week, every other day for the mounted ones, so they do get slightly dry between waterings.

How do you grow yours and how many do you have?

...the eria ornata (dendrolirium), which is a very showy one even without bloom, and not too big either, including spike maybe 30 cm, something you could try.

Na, I would rather try the Eria pulchella if I want to add more Eria to my orchid collection. I like hairy ones.

I only have 3... philippinensis, ornatum (dendrolirium), and a noid....
I grow my philippinensis potted in moss (mesh pot)... I water it 2x weekly or just when the
moss dries up. I decided to pot it when I noticed that its not doing well mounted.
Ornatum, is doing quite well mounted on a piece of bark (the way i got it).... if this does
well this way then i wouI only have 3... philippinensis, ornatum (dendrolirium), and a noid....

Btw how much light do you give yours? My philippinensis gets phal light and it seems to be doing
great there... while my other 2 gets catt lights as they are grown outdoors shaded by the others.ld leave it at that.

I put mine under bright shade, ~1500FC.
