Bangalore and Pune can be as hot as Melakka, but I think the major difference is that during winter we can have temperatures as low as 6-10 degrees which I think is difficult in Melakka also most winter days are over cast.

how many u water your Dend densiflorum ? what kind of fertilizer you used ? message for satishsherikar
Thay was always one of my favorite colors.
Beautiful!
shootingstar: I use RO water as the ground water is very hard and the TDS is not suitable. regarding the fertilizer, I normally use 19:19:19 and for flowering, I alternate with another fertilizer (high K fertilizer, something like 5:10:30, I guess). I fertilize typically weekly and weakly. I am travelling now and hope the orchids make thru in our absence, especially since there were 2-3 more orchids in spike. always difficult to travel, especially with the sweltering summer heat now on.
satishsherikar do you mix the fungicide ,fertilizer, insecticide into one ? after that u spray it into catts
I use systemic fungicide sometimes, mixing it with fertilizer. I have not used any insecticide as of now. I have only 1 cattleya and it is putting up 2 new pbs, and yet to give any sheaths/buds.
