Meiracyllium trinasutum

Anyone growing it ? this one has been around for about a year and does nothing , plump leaves but not new ones , has roots , it is mounted , moist , humidity is good , was in medium light but according to Jay's site it likes shade . Any info. is appreciated . Gin

I have mine mounted on cork with very little moss. IT gets watered daily and is in bright light. It grows pretty good, but I havent had it that long, 7or 8 months maybe. Now blooms yet but plaenty of new growth. Maybe try brighter light?

Thanks Forrest , I will move it to higher light , was getting it , but I noticed the edges of the leaves getting a reddish tinge .Without new growth I was afraid of dehydrating it . Thanks for the reply Gin

hey gin. so how is it doing now?

i just acquired a cross of two meiracyllium species (i am too lazy to go and look right now). it is in a margarine container with those sparkly white rocks (i think they are used in garden beds and such?).

it is very happy and has red tinged leaves. right now it lives near the south window and gets direct sun for a while each afternoon.

i got it in spike and the buds are plumping up nicely.

Be sure to post a piccie of it when they open . I saw one in Springfield it was a huge mat of flowers .

Mine is fine it also has the reddish tinge to the leaves but no buds , I did have it in a sunny area then shaded it , it is now back where it gets early am . sun .Gin
