Hi Guys,
The name appears to be incorrect. There is not a listing in OrchidWiz for Kagawara Sandy Gold. I also checked all vandaceous orchids and no match. What other name might it be under?
The only 'Sandy' anything listed were:
Ascocenda Sandy Barrow
Ascocenda Sandy Hatos
Vandachostylis Sandy Kuioka
Ascocenda Sandy Schultz
Might it be one of these? No photos in the software of these four.
Sorry I am not more help with this one.
Cheers,
BD![]()
Kgw Sandy Gold is being old by many nurseries in Malaysia, and they are almost all mericlones.Another kagawara that looks almost similar is called Kgw Dinesh Gold and I'm sure you won't find it in OchidWiz either. This is another case of orchids being named without registering them - a normal practice n South-eat Asia.
Our spelling mistakes also, its Kagawaara ( Kgw ) and Diinesh Gold = Ren. Kalsom x Ascda. Madame Kenny. This cross would explain the coloration. No pics of this either on a short search, will keep looking.
The color is so vibrant no wonder the blooms always make you mesmerize.
Did a search for Kagawara Diinesh Gold as has been suggested and by what the parents are. The following link should show that Kgw Sandys Gold IS
Kgw Diinesh Gold.
