I've recently had throw out one of these due to root rot that spread up to the crown/root ball despite my clipping off dead roots and soaking in peroxide. I just gave my second one shown above it's first regular watering with some Hydrogen peroxide at 1 teaspoon per liter.

What doesn't help new growers is getting plants that are sent to big stores overpacked with wet spagnum moss and already have root rot that can't be seen through the pot. People just repot these right away it seems, as a result. If you don't repot, your Phal will die to root rot as mine did.

Does anyone know where to find fungicide in Ottawa, Ontario? Or a similar product that can be ordered online in Canada? IF so, please PM the info.
