I just got my first orchid around a week ago at a plant fest. It is a Phal. Long Pride Amy. After a day or two in my room a couple of the smaller buds turned red and one of the bigger bud turned red and wilted. I searched around online and I found that it might not have enough light so I placed it in my back porch. My room has very low sunlight from the window due to the big tree infront of it but has a 60 watt light that keeps the room lit. The back porch gives it morning and evening sun but no direct noon sun. The first picture was taken right after I relocated it to the porch. You can see the red buds and if you look at the spike on the left, one of the branch also turned red and wilted. Well two days later the rest of the bud except for one turned red and started wilting. I asked someone online and they said too much light so I relocated it to my boyfriends house, where his mom has her orchids. You can see in the second and third picture that after two days at my boyfriends house the last green bud is turning red, all the other buds fell off and the branch of the second spike got worst. All of my boyfriends mom's orchids are also Phals and doing great in that room. HELP!!!!! what am I doing wrong?
Also the moss its in is still moist days after I water it. Is it ok to repot it when it is flowering? Sorry for the long post everyone!!!!
