    Default NOID DenPhal

I bought this one a few years ago - NOID. It has taken FOREVER to rebloom, but here it is! It has 9 flowers on a single spike.

    Awesome--I love the veining!

Did you do anything differently to get it to bloom this year?

    Good growing, Christopher .

I like the way the veining reflected on the lip. Interesting.

Louis - I have a few of these that I haven't been able to rebloom for the past 1-2 years. Last fall I put them in a spare bedroom (east facing windows). They were 'out of sight, out of mind' and stayed a bit dry through the winter. And, that room was 5-8 degrees colder than the rest of the house. This spring I moved the DenPhals to other rooms of the house and ALL are growing really well right now but this is the only one that bloomed for me. I'm not sure if it was the different lighting, the dry spell or the cooler temps that initiated the spike. Any thoughts?

Thanks all for the compliments - I'm pretty happy with this one!

no expert here, but I have read that these Den-phals like a bit of a dry rest during winter, so that could have been it...

    Cheers
    Tim

ps forgot to say those flowers are amazing... nice veining.
