Thanks Lzzy & Anna. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope they'll do fine.
Best wishes,
Gabi.
Hello everybody. I haven't posted an update in a while now and I decided it was time (with questions of course). The new leaf on the white phal has grown quite a bit since then (it's about a month and a half old)(first picture), also the plant started to grow new roots, and a new secondary spike on the old one, which has been cut below the third node. My question is, is it normal, since the leaf hasn't finished growing, for the plant to shoot another new leaf? (last picture)
Also the yellow phal, which decided to make more flowers, opened a couple of them these days. The colour of the new flowers is more intense (a darker yellow) and the labelum's pattern is a bit different. Do you think this is a light issue??(in the 3-rd picture is the old flower and in the last is the new one).
It is possible for Phals to grow 2 new leaves at the same time. I have had several do this the last couple of years.
It is very common for Phal. flowers to fade and change as they get older, especially yellow ones. Culture (light, temperature, fertilizer, etc.) can also change the appearance of flowers.
