haha.. yes, not everyone. It takes space and effort to care for seedlings and sometimes the time commitment for a non-blooming plant is a big turn-off for those that want to see blooms within a year of getting a new plant. I don't necessarily think it is fear as much as it might be a combination of the parts. JMHO
