It is a Stanhopea. The flowers are very fragrant but short lived (2-3 days) It likes to stay moist, have bright light and is a heavy feeder.
Looks like a nice plant.

Yes, it looks like a Stanhopea. They are really cool and very fragrant, but as mentioned above, only last 2-3 days.

What kind of pot is that? Is the bottom open? Stanhopeas (most not all) bloom from below like yours is doing. I grow mine in baskets. I posted a repotting demo thread about repotting my newest Stans on here somewhere.

its a plastic pot but whoever made it, cut most of the bottom part out and then used wire to hold the media. yeah this one is growing from the bottom
The blooms may last a little longer if they are kept cool, shouldn't be a problem in Co.
