My experience with Psychopsis has been this: They absolutely will NOT tolerate wet feet. Mine gets watered about every 5 or 6 days and, of course, it depends on the media it is growing in. IMHO it looks like the plant may be suffering from a bacterial infection. If it is sunburn pull it back. I grow exclusively under lights and mine does very well at about 1800 fc.

Bacterial was my first guess. The sunburn was a bit of an oopsy. It was taken away from that spot as soon as I noticed the bleaching effect. Wasn't until I went to water the other day that I saw the black ickiness. I think I am just going to cut out the bad parts and try to rehab the good. Then go buy another one because everything I have found that could potentially treat the infection is dangerous and more expensive than a new baby or two.

That's just my opinion Jason so don't give up yet. Check to see if you have any kind of root system left. If so, maybe treat the plant with Physan 20, repot with a well draining media and adjust your watering habits as required. From my experience with Psychopsis, if there is no substantial root system left just throw it in the compost bin. They simply will not recover.
