I inherited this plant from a friend who passed away a couple of years ago, and I have gone through a species photo site but have not found it. Any help would be great as it has been in flower for the last three months.

I wouldnt know the name tho, but that lip is definitely gorgeous. Good luck in finding the name.

Some kind of Vanda, I suppose, but I know nothing about a "name" for your orchid. It is for sure BEAUTIFUL,though. Betty :-)
This looks like a crossing using Trudelia (vanda) cristata with something like V. tessellata
A beautiful gift!!!!!
wow, a nice one!
would agree with roy, v. cristata crossed with something, or even a rare species we havent seen yet...
Agree with Roy and Ron. That prominent lip would suggest acristata with a tessellata or a tricolor, or even a deninsoniana ( as evidenced by the protruding lip and short flower spike).
For sure it has V. cristata in the blood. I don't think it is a primary hybrid though. Perhaps, one of the parents is Vanda Paki.
It is a pretty one and it is worth the time to do further reasearch for its ID.
