The big news !!!!! I found what I believe is the name of your orchid....
Its Vanda KEKASEH = V. insignis x Trudelia (vanda) cristata.
I've been trying to find a good pic apart from this one but no luck.

Well done Roy! It sure looks like it. From the name it sounds very Malaysian. In case anyone is interested ' kekaseh' means 'beloved'.

No doubt on this... Trudelia cristata x Vanda tessellata.
The petals and its coloration, and the leaf tips resembled Vanda tesellata.
The lip coloration and its manner to bend and also the trunk resembled Trudelia cristata.

I don't know the particular cross in this one, but it definately is some kind of vanda alliance orchid
