Phal seeds or onions ?

Hi,
I am new here and also this is my first post to forum. If the subject is in incorrect category, I am realy sorry.
I am making a small greenhouse for phal, but I have checked many sites unfortunately I can not find any information how I can find feed or onion. I will do this for half job and half for fun. Can you advise me?

I'm not sure what you mean by "onions". Do you want to grow onions?

Are you asking about finding seeds to grow Phalaenopsis? If so, do you have a laboratory or access to one in order to germinate the seed? Orchid seed is done most efficiently under sterile laboratory conditions. Some people do it out of their home, but are generally experienced growers. It might be easier to get seedling Phals or flasks (if you are an experienced grower) and grow those.

To get an exact match of the plant you have, cloneing such as meristem technique would be best. I do not know how to do this, maybe others on the forum do?

Where do you live? Are there other orchid growers around you?

Phals can be propagated either by seed or by meristem cloning as Cindiras mentions. Both methods are best done in a laboratory setup. The process also takes usually several years to get mature plants that are ready to bloom.

Actualy, I have found a company in Taiwan, producing flask seed, I don't know how it's quality. Maybe, I need to test sometime it. I will try to find articles about meristem, thank you for advice, but for the first step I don't think to setup a laboratory.
