This might seem like a silly question but what determines how large the bloom will be. I have several Moth Orchids, all the plants seem the same size but some of the blooms were small while another plants has huge blooms.

The genetics (breeding) of the plant play the primary role in flower size, but culture and plant maturity can also affect flower size. A well grown plant will tend to have larger flowers than one that is not getting favorable conditions. A first bloom seedling will tend to have smaller flowers than a mature plant.
