Usually in the heat of summer I don't see too much growth on some plants. But since our move they all seem to like the new growing area as I have several new spikes in the last week. If I can figure out how to keep the spiders out of them i'll have more. They leave black stuff at the place where the plants bud out and it seems to stop them from budding or spiking. Does anyone know how to stop this?? They are white spiders that run up my arm if I pick the plant up. It's not good for a gimp like me to be doing the "freak out" dance when they go running up my arm either. lol
...this will take a couple posts for all the pics. I had fun running around snapping pics. The first pic...the den with two little ones...that poor thing had no potting stuff for a couple weeks after the move, but the roots just keep growing like crazy. When I put the new stuff in and tied it in, these popped up.
The top part of this den that is so nice is what has grown just since we moved, and the spike started a few days after it got sat up there. It's a copy of my big new den called 'candy stripe'...
I thought this den was dead until these popped up a couple days ago.
This big Vanda has several keikei's on it. They hadn't been growing at the other house, but they are going to town now!
