We camped at Fort Pickens this past week and watched the sunset over the water every night. Different flavor every night! What's your favorite sunset photo??

Orange hibiscus in our yard, and us at Ft. Pickens. Met an Austrian couple. You meet the nicest people camping! Pensacola is the home of the Blue Angels. The Navy Base is just across the water from Ft. Pickens and the practice shows were spectacular this week.

I like the third sunset...and although the Blue Angels do a nice job...The Air Force Thunderbirds are my boys! lol
AH!!! FWB is my hometown and the Tbirds are great! But I think I saw the Blues handoff a samich between canopies during this show.......
I like the first and third. And I don't care if it's the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds, I just want to ride along!
Great Pics Tami !!! Can't wait for you to get down here
Great pictures Tami. I like the last photo - good composition.
I remember the Blue Angels way back when I was still in Elementary school when they came here to the Philippines and did an aerial acrobatic show for us school kids courtesy of the U.S. Embassy and the Clark Air Base Air Force base that still existed here before it got converted into the Clark and Subic International Freeport Eco-commercial Zone. Our school was one of those invited to watch the show over at our local Philippine Air Force Base then.
If my memory serves me right, isn't Pensacola synonymous with oranges?
Nice pics, Tami.I'm waffling a bit between sunsets 1 and 3 though leaning more toward 1. I like the sharpness of the silhouettes in pic 3 but I prefer the overall colors of pic 1.
Thus far I've seen the Thunderbirds, Blue Angels, and the Snowbirds (the latter being Canada's top fliers). While I do indeed enjoy watching any of the above, I'm not as oohed and ahhed, I suspect, as many folks are. But then, I'm spoiled -- I grew up seeing performances of either the Thunderbirds or Blue Angels every summer in my home town (they used to alternate each year who was coming to perform).
I remember the Blue Angels too. Heheh.. great fun. I love the first sunset with the purple and blue sky.All are really wonderful and relaxing.
cheers,
