I got this one today and i think i was told it was a brassavola something or Bc stars something i dont really remember and it didnt have a tag. Does anyone know what kind of orchid it is and the culture for it. On the last picture is that a spike?

Looks like a Brassavola to me, it could be Brassavola Little Stars... as for the culture
I treat this one as a Vanda... lots of direct sunlight and lots of water, but im growing
mounted. These like their roots to dry quickly. the last photo seems to show the start
of a spike...
it was in a pot when i got it and i have it mounted now, i water it everyday and i mist it a few times a day and the roots seem to dry off all the time. how long does it take for the spike to grow and flower
B Little Stars would be my guess also, but there's also Bl Petite Stars. Looks more like the former to me, however.

I agree with the fact that it is a brassavola...But what kind??? I have several hybrids that look like that...You probably won't know until this winter when it blooms! Great roots, by the way! Betty :-)
I guess we'll have to wait till it blooms. It still growing more roots Betty, it was really healthy when i got it, i hope it stays that way
B. Little Stars
B. Grand Stars
B. Green Stars
B. Kiilani Stars
B. Solstice Star
Those are all going to look so similar it may not be possible to be sure even when it flowers if it is a pure Brassavola.
Add in Brassavola intergeneric hybrids and there's probably 100+ more Stars to choose from. Someone needs to be a little more creative naming Brasso hybrids, neh?
i think the guy said it was a B. little stars
I believe that is a brassavola nodosa little stars. I bought one --back in the Spring of this year and that is what the tag identified it as; mine has yet to bloom but appears to have what appears to be the starting of bloom spikes...hope all goes well with it
