Hello Ron, I'm just new to this but I acquired 3 weeks ago this specie . It's in a fern chips media and I'm watering everyday. It's in a bright shaded area. Are my locations right? When is the blooming season? Any tips on inducing it to bloom? Thanks so much.

hi, i think you over water, maybe every other day or less would be better, just dont let it dry out completely. yes, bright shade is good, it should bloom in february/ march, and fertilize maybe weekly. they do like clay pots!

i do water throughly every week with weak fertilizer on my paph hennisianum and daily misting on base of plant by spray bottle just to keep it moist. hope i'm doing fine with my plant

Of course I like it very much:
I was lucky and saw this species in its habitat, in April this year. In the mountains on Mindoro, at about 700m o.s.l., about fifty plants, some flowering. Rather dry soil, in secundary vegetation, a lot of light, almost no shadow.
It was named after the owner of a German orchid nursery, Hennis in Hildesheim.
