Last month, there was an accident when I was watering my oncidium. It fell and one growth with a new pbulb got broken! I felt soand :toofull: and
, feeling extremely guilty about ruining the new growth (I was really looking forward to some flowers...). Most of the pbulb snapped off except for a small stump and also some leaves (you know, the leaves that grow on opposite sides of the bulb). That's it. All that's left.
Today, I noticed a pointy green thing about one inch long that wasn't there before. It must be a spike--it obviously looks like one--emerging from the side of the pbulb stump.
Any hope that this spike will grow without the PB? What do you think? The growth does have a good root system established and still have a few leaves.
