Bulbo suggestions?

Kathi get the Bulb lobbi from Sabah, Borneo, this is the most easiest plant to grow and flower. Bulbophyllum species is seasonal maybe bloom 3 to 4 times a year. Do not try B. beccarrii or B. phalaenopsis or similar family very difficult.

Kathi, very easy to grow and very beautiful Bulb. lobbii and daerae. A must to have.

Thanks, zain. Sounds like lobbi would be a good one to start with. I will try to find one next time I am ordering. They are all just so darn cute!

Well, the last lecturer at our OS meeting had some lobbi, but the plants were small and I decided to bypass them. Then, recently I saw a bulbo masdevalliaceum online, and it just arrived.

First pic is my new plant...it is in a 4" basket, but overgrowing it on all sides. About 20+ bulbs, and nice and healthy looking. I am excited!!!
Second pix is what it should look like in bloom.

No pics, but from what you describe. Awesome. Normally, its hard for me to get cuttings of 20+ bulbs unless they are small plants.

Anyways, congrats on a good acquisition. Next time we might be able to swap cuttings

I just can't wait til it blooms...supposedly it blooms several times a year.

Nice, it does look alot like my Bulbophyllum blumei...

Yup. I think the vendor said it is related to, and possibly a variation of, blumei.

I am thinking that it is happy in its basket, and I should leave it be for now, despite the fact it is overgrowing the basket. What do you think?

I think they are fine, i have a lot of them overflowing the basket as well...
