While searching online for an inexpensive tank, I came across an ad for this critter. Hadn't really been planning on getting another snake but the price was right -- FREE! So I figured what the heck, a pet for the classroom.

It's a 4.5 ft (1.37m) "bubble gum" rat/corn snake. One of the many semialbino morphs in the trade. Great disposition. Only real downside is that the previous owner, in addition to not knowing the snake's sex, was keeping it in a 10 gal tank. WAY to small for such a creature. So now the search for a bigger abode has attained greater urgency.

Such a huge animal for a small tank. Glad you found him and are taking better care of him. Beautiful markings.

What a beauty! Looks quite docile. Nice to know that some of the some in my backyard aren't alarmed or alarming. Unfortunately, I usually see black racers who sneak onto our lanai. And they are not friendly.

At least they aren't dangerous. IME, limited though it is, they tend to be a lot of bluff. When push comes to shove they live up to their name and "race" off
