Do I need Physan 20?

Basically I use Physan to get rid of algae growing on my grow area flooring and walkways. It is very good at doing this.

It seems to be a very good wetting agent also because it effectively reduces the surface tension of a liquid, causing the liquid to spread across or penetrate more easily the surface of a solid.

Can you use Physan 20 as a preventive say for example if your not sure the plant has the fungus? Also, if you have applied it on a affected plant. How long afterward do you have to quarantine the plant?
