Two of em, a Nepenthes ventricosa and an ampullaria--very cool!--both just arrived yestereday. Much thanks, Kevin! I hope I can give them a good home! Here's a pic of a trap on the ampullaria: I love the little lid!

Glad they got there OK and you like them. I'm also very happy they now have a good home.
I want pics and LOTS OF 'EM EVERY WEEK FOR YEARS TO COME!!![]()
Kev were those clippings or your entire plants? I have a Noid that doesn't have a trap yet, but I think one is forming. It was a clipping from my OS meating. If they were clippings I want to start begging now for one of the next. LOL Was suposed to get one in a trade with a member, but so far hasn't come through, and I sent him the chids already.Hopefully he will come through like he said he would in a few months when the plants I wanted were ready. The plants he sent were far below expectations and only one is living.
I do like the tropical pitchers and want to add to the collection later.
Nice growing Louis
I sent entire plants. I wanted them to have a whole greenhouse to roam in.Originally Posted by JB_Orchidguy

Whoa, help! Where were those other nepenthes threads? My Thai buddy, Amorn, has one - he brought it by today. He's had if for a year and doesn't know much about it. I promised help (and I know nothing about them!)
They're pitchers, right? So you only need to fill them with Margaritas?
Julie
I hear they like Gin & Tonic too, just go easy on the lime.
Tundra dude, that's information I'd be interested in, but it doesn't help me help him grow his...
Where were those threads? I think they were yours...

Piper try www.petflytrap.com Its a CP msg forum that has info on all kinds of carnivorous plants. You may be able to find out more there. I just have one Nepenthes and killed thr first I had. My second is doing pretty good and I think I have a pitcher forming.Still a small devision though. Good luck. I hear some can be a buger to grow, but the biggest thing I have seen though is the humidity. If they don't have enough they will not pitcher. They like and can stand full sun I think. Don't quote me on that one. Good luck on info hunting.
Thanks, Josh! I'll definitely check it out. I'll keep digging for the threads here, too. There were quite recent.
Got to go flip the salmon on the barbie - later, all!
Julie
Wow, there is a fair amount of interest in these carnivores aye... wonder why no one *hint hint* has started a club about them... so *looks around* who's got em? Oh and don't look at me... I'm no longer growing em, but I do like looking at those pictures...![]()
