Cuthbertsonii is the one out of this last batch which has me turning a nice shade of jealous green ; it's an orchid not infrequently seen at Shows in Uk, since with our climate , not to mention heating costs, we have a lot of growers specialising in what we call cool house orchids. But they won't survive, I think , in my cattleya/vanda conditions.
But there was a superb issue of Orchid Digest just arrived here a few weeks ago, entirely devoted to Dendrobiums , and I read of some other Dend's in the Oxyglossum section like cuthbertsonii. which come from lower areas and like it warmer - and consequently are finding their way onto my wish lists - although I suspect I'll need to go to a place specialising in flasks of New Guinea orchids ( we've got one, here in UK ) to actually find plants.
I do have one Thrixpermum , and have never seen a flower - now I can guess why - I blinked at the wrong moment.
