    Default Paph naming question

i have puchased an orchid at a show and the name tag says

    1576(Red Glory x Pulsar) X Charleswortharii (Floricultura)

i read a little on the name meanings and thought that i had it down until i read this one. can anyone shead some light on this for me? thank you in advance.

ps. i have no experience with Paphs so i "think" this is one. i could be wrong.

Your tag is very out of date. The first orchid listed (Red Glory x Pulsar) has been named: Paphiopedilum Red Czar (Paphiopedilum Pulsar x Paphiopedilum Red Glory)

The second orchid name you list in the cross is misspelled. It should be: charlesworthii

These two orchids make the cross:

Paphiopedilum Iko Iko (Paphiopedilum Red Czar x Paphiopedilum charlesworthii)

That is your orchid's name. Yes, it is a paph.

    Cheers,
    BD
