Lycaste brevispatha x matagrossensis

This came from the Orchid Society of the Ozarks auction 3 years ago . First time it has bloomed I almost gave up on it . The tag says it is a brevispatha x matagrossensis cross .. Color in the Pict. is not quite right ...Thanks for looking .. Gin

usually gin, there is little or alot of colour variation in species and hybrids. I had a flask a few years back and within 18 months, the onc. whatever it was flowered and 24 plants survived. the coulor was supposed to be a pinky colour with darker blotches inside, but only 6 were like that. another quarter were bright red with white splotches, and the rest ended up being alba. very interesting results from one seedpod. But that is variation. Your lycaste must be like that if it is different from any pics you have looked up.a i just looked some up, and it looks about right.

WELL DONE! its very nice and i like the brown/pink in it.
