My Dendrobium nobile hybrid "Sweet Pinky Love" has two large buds and is starting to open. I know these orchids are sensitive to being relocated while in bud, but is there a point where it is safe to move them? Mine is against a window and the buds are facing straight at the window where nobody can see them. I would like to spin it around for a few photos and even set it on the table so we can enjoy it. I know with some of the plants, once the blooms open, they are less likely to blast.

Also, I have only rested this orchid for a few weeks, and it put buds on way before I thought it should have. I bought it in the fall and stopped fertilizers rigtht away. It has been in a slightly cooler location and gets only water to prevent drying out. (House is dry enough that I can't completely withold water) It put out two buds a few weeks ago. I was expecting dormancy, leaves falling off, and all of that stuff. One leaf fell off, and then the buds appeared. What should I do afterthe blooms? Should I just try to rest it next winter, or will going through a growth cycle this summer probably kill it. It is a large, established plant. Pics will follow as soon as I can move it.

Thanks for all of the help,
Dave
