These plants are commonly sold by Bicol Region people.

From your last acquisition:
1st pic - Liparis sp
2nd pic - Coelogyne bilamellata


And you have a healthy grown Trichoglottis latisepala

Your ground orchid is another color form of Spathoglottis plicata or maybe a cross variety.

Along with your ground orchid is Eria cymbifolium, lovely cute white flowers. It is an epiphyte, it needs moist drain media.

I hope everyone is in the spirit of the Christmas season. Its been quite a long time since the last i posted/updated this thread.

Anyway folks, here are some pics of my blooming orchids. I have to apologize though i was not able to capture when most of my orchids were in bloom some months ago. Tomorrow, i'll start to fertilize my orchids again and some of my plants.

this phal's bloom is more than 3 wks now.


i am so lucky that this orchid survived and very much attached to an ornamental plant called "song of jamaica"


this baby is so cute


my dog...sometimes the reason why some of my orchids are in heaven because long ago some of my orchids were mounted where the dogs can very much reach it when they stand up. I forgot to mention i have 3 dogs.


my 2 new acquisitions just bought from baclaran because the seller begged me to buy it for a very very cheap price.

@betty.....thank you so much for saying the words "garden of eden" but i am wondering is it after the two were expelled from paradise? hehehehehehehhehehe. And yes, we sometimes encounter snakes. Actually, what i have right now are big snails...i'll take pictures of the snails in the garden.

Just purchased 2 new orchids and i'll be attaching them tomorrow on my trees :





I bought this orchids at somewhat cheap price so i hope i'll be able to grow them well.

thank you so much. Your garden/plant collection and others as well keeps me inspired and sustains my enthusiasm as a gardener. That's why i should be the one to say "thank you" to you and to others as well for all the information and valuable knowledge i acquire from all of the member's plant/orchid experiences.

On with the show :
This garden snail is so big but i dont want to kill it though i see a number of them in my garden. Sorry mother nature, if i "accidentally" stepped on them. Actually, if i see a centipede or a scorpion or get my face tangled in a spider web in the morning i just let them be except for snakes or poisonous critters that can kill me.


When i bought this at a very cheap price since i had a feeling that they just got this from the forest and as a "conservationist" somehow, i was not really expecting it to live especially when i was so very busy with work and other priorities. This one thrives on neglect. I put it on a high branch of my mango tree and i assure you i can only count how many times i was able to water this fellow. Since then, i put most of my orchids with "chamber like bodies" on places where it will not be disturbed and be watered unintentionally. Though i don't know the name of this baby but it can take the whole branch of my mango tree...hehehehehe. More babies to come....


as you can see, i put my newly purchased orchid again on a high branch of my mango tree. (the one with the long, small flowers)
